The Clatskanie Foundation was created with the mission of enhancing the economic growth and quality of life in the Clatskanie community by establishing and supporting local programs, with an emphasis on those in education, and providing scholarships to deserving applicants to attend accredited educational institutions.

CLATSKANIE CULTURAL CENTER COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

Columbia County is in Phase II of the Covid-19 recovery. Phase III is not expected to be implemented until “a reliable treatment” or a vaccination is available. Following are the criteria under which the Clatskanie Cultural Center (CCC) must operate during Phase II.

• *  A maximum of 100 people.

• *  Face masks must be worn, except when putting food or beverages into one’s mouth.

• *  Families or friends may be grouped in parties of eight (the state says 10, but our tables only sit 8), and six feet of distance must be maintained between each party.

• *  Event organizers must provide the CCC with a list of guests and their contact information, so that they may be contacted should someone come down with Covid-19.

• *  The CCC is required to signage, hand sanitizers, and face masks, and ensure that the building and furnishings are sanitized.

• *  Food must be served party by party either at the individual tables, or from a buffet in the council chambers. However, the buffet cannot be self-service. Servers with food handler’s licenses will be required to dish up the food. Two CCC volunteers are licensed to assist with service.

• *  If there is a bar, it must be staffed by a licensed server. Guests may go up to the bar to order, but the six-foot distance must be observed. The bar must close at 10 p.m.
